Membership

 Classes of Membership:
  1. Open Member: Applicant must be eighteen (18) years of age or older as of January 1st.
  2. Junior Member: Applicant must be under eighteen (18) years of age as of January 1st.
Membership Year: The new membership year shall be the calendar year commencing with 1st day of September and ending with 31st day of August. 
Admission to Membership:
Junior or open membership is granted to residents of York Region, or others approved by Membership Committee, who agree with objects of Corporation and pledge themselves to be governed by the By-Laws, Directives and resolutions of the corporation. These memberships are granted yearly upon payment of dues as determined by the Board.
  Rights of Members: Each classification of membership shall:
  1. Be eligible to the use of the club flying field and instruction by our team of instructors.
  2. Be eligible to compete in any competitions sanctioned by the corporation or any competition sanctioned by any model organization affiliated either directly or indirectly with FAI (Federation Aeronautique Internationale), the international governing body for aeronautics, which has a reciprocal agreement with MAAC.
  3. Be eligible to represent the country in international competition (FAI) providing he qualifies according to the regulation as set down by RHMAC.
  4. Receive any publications issued by the corporation to the general membership.
  5. Open members only are eligible to vote on affairs of the corporation.
  6. Voting on issues of business will require 51% of membership, present or by proxy.
  7. Participate in all indoor or outdoor flying activities.
  Eligibility to Hold Office: Open member - eighteen years or over.
  Membership costs: Fee/Year Initiation (All cheques/monies payable to RHMAC)
  1. Open Member $65.00
  2. Open Member joining anytime $65.00
  3. Junior Member $65.00
  4. Junior with parent n/a
  5. Previous Member $65.00
To be renewed each year by September 30. Late payment of dues carries no penalty but no discount either.
